Do Quebec language laws (OQLF) apply to window wraps?
Yes. Just like permanent outdoor lightboxes, any commercial window graphic that displays text must comply with the Charter of the French Language. If your storefront window wrap includes a non-French trademark, slogan, or service list, it must be accompanied by French text that is "markedly predominant" (typically twice as large). Max Printing ensures all your window designs are fully OQLF-compliant before we send them to the printer, protecting you from fines.
How long do commercial window wraps last?
When printed on premium commercial vinyl and installed professionally by Max Printing, exterior window graphics typically last 3 to 5 years before showing signs of UV fading or weathering. Interior-facing applications (like frosted glass) can last over a decade.
Will perforated window graphics make my store dark?
No. Perforated vinyl (often called "One-Way Vision" film) is typically designed with a 60/40 or 50/50 ratio of vinyl to micro-holes. This allows a significant amount of natural sunlight to pass through the glass, keeping your interior bright while displaying a solid, vibrant image to people on the outside.
Can I wash my windows after the graphics are installed?
Yes. Once the vinyl has fully cured (usually within a few days of installation), you can clean your windows normally. However, to maximize the lifespan of the graphics, we recommend using a soft microfiber cloth and non-abrasive, ammonia-free glass cleaners. Avoid high-pressure power washing directly on the vinyl edges.
Are window wraps easily removable if I change my branding?
Absolutely. Commercial window vinyl is designed to be highly durable during use but cleanly removable when it is time to rebrand. Our team can quickly strip old window graphics and install new ones without damaging the underlying glass.
